2011 was the inaugural year for Numana's State-Wide Packaging Event or SWIPE. From its inception in April, to the last campus food-packaging event at the end of October, a monumental effort was planned and executed.
16 Kansas campuses featured SWIPE events
4,379 participants volunteered their time and energy
597,424 meals were packaged and sent to the famine victims in the Horn of Africa
It was so successful and so much fun, we are doing it again in 2012.

The call is once again going out to all of the institutions of higher education in the state of Kansas to be a part of something truly unique. In 2011, Kansas garnered a lot of attention as a result of SWIPE, and this year, we will demonstrate that it was no fluke. Kansas colleges are on the forefront of a movement to do something practical about world hunger. Something that can be done on every campus. Something that will change lives. Something that will save lives.

The SWIPE 2012 offer from Numana is an overall discount per meal to all schools participating in the program. Numana meals are .30¢ each to prepare and package, but will be discounted to .28¢ per meal to all SWIPE participants. For a 20,000 meal event, that is the equivalent of 1,333 free meals! And it only gets better from there.

We need to hear from you and know that you are interested. Contact Jay Lewis at Jay@numanainc.com or by phone at 316.204.3180 to register your interest and get your name on the list for updates about SWIPE. We will connect you with other people from your school that have shown interest so you can start the planning process for 2012.
Let's get ready to SWIPE OUT HUNGER!
